This is a physical vapor deposition (PVD) process, and the jewelry is coated with at least 0.1 microns of 18K gold or silver, as well as a ceramic coating, which allows it to pass water resistance tests.
If you wear your jewelry every day – in the shower and to bed – you will find that the color will not fade for at least six months. We recommend taking your jewelry off when you shower and sleep, and keeping it away from water and lotion just to prevent the color of the plating from fading over time.
